Hiddles News

Hello everybody!
My name is Hestia. I'm a 23 years old French woman, who's addicted to making blogs. I currently run I Am Cumberbatched and A Little Piece of Renner as well as a number of other blogs linked to my personal account.

I Am Cumberbatched, ALPOR or this blog are all made for one reason : because I love those 3 actors and I want to share everything I can about their work (news, articles, interviews, videos...). All of those blogs will only focus on their career and nothing about their personal life will be posted (especially not photos) except if they decide to share it first.

If you want to share something, don't hesitate to hit the ask or submit boxes.

LOKI FAN
{ BEWARE, THOR }

Okay guys, I am extremely sorry for the lack of updates.

Long story short, my laptop needed to be fixed but problems got on top of problems and I ended up not having any computer for an entire month (it still not fixed but I got my old laptop back). Bad timing since the Avengers release is so close. So that’s the reason why I haven’t posted anything even with all the promos and stuff going around.

But I’m back again now and after deleting the 2354 emails I got during this month (that’s the actual number, not a figure of speech), I’m now able to get some news again and I will try to get this blog and the two others up and running asap.

I don’t know when every premiere will take place yet but I figured some of you might like to know he will be there anyway.
I really, wish I could go to the Paris premiere!

In the latest issue of SFX Magazine, Tom Hiddleston has opened up to them about his role as Loki in The Avengers, talking about how his character has evolved since the ending of Thor. He also talks about Loki’s methods towards fighting each Avenger. Read his comments below:

“There is a personal engine but it’s behind a degree of megalomania. When you see Loki let go of that spear at the end of Thor, he lets go of Asgard, he lets go of Asgard and his need for that place and his attachment and need for the affection and respect of Odin and his brother. As he disappears in that wormhole, that’s a literal way of saying, “I’m done. Asgard is gone and I have other things to do.” At the beginning of The Avengers, you see the beginnings of what Loki is planning and if he doesn’t belong in Asgard, where might he belong? In that tragic place of confusion of “Where do I belong in this universe?” Loki’s answer is “I will make myself belong”, which dark and menacing and dangerous.

“I think Loki is very flexible and adaptable to the present context. With each Avenger, he faces a different threat, a different strategy and methodology. Some pose more of a threat than others in his mind, but they all have their own unique superpowers. I say it’s like tennis. You’ll never play the same game of tennis with a new and different opponent. The magic happens in the space between you, not just with the characters but the actors too.”

For those in Europe or for people who can read zone 2 dvds, the blue ray is available for pre order on amazon UK (I haven’t seen the DVD yet)

2nd of April. I love you.

April will be the fucking best month of this year… Is not also War Horse released in the UK on DVD in April? And the Avengers in cinemas in April… April 2012, I love you…

War Horse will be released on May 7, just after The Avengers is released (well, for the last countries since most of the world would already have it). The Avengers will be realeased on April 27 in the UK. War Horse DVD will come out in April 3 in the US.

While I’m at it, The Avengers is available for pre order here in France and it’s suppose to be out on August 29 (date may change) so I guess it’s around that time that the DVD will be out in the UK too. It will obviously be a zone 2 but French DVDs always have the original audio version on them too so if it doesn’t come out soon in your countries (and you can read a zone 2 dvd), you can pre order the movie on Amazon.fr

Hey guys, Tom has been nominated for Best Male Newcomer for his role as Loki

So if you could spare a minute, click on the link and vote for him, please.

Thor, War Horse and Midnight in Paris have been nominated as well so if you could vote for them too it would be great.

click on the grey thingy for a nice picture :)

I would like to thank arianka for sending me this link. It’s 1h15 long, and Tom’s part comes around 39:40min. But I would recommend you to listen to the all thing ‘cause it’s great.

You can find a download link here (posted by tomhiddlestonarchive)

Okay, I know it’s not an Academy award but it’s still a nomination so I hope he wins.

The Saturn awards honors people, movies and TV show in science fiction, fantasy and horror genders.

Tom is nominated for Best Supporting Actor in Thor alongside Ralph Fiennes (Harry Potter), Harrison Ford (Cobow and Aliens), Alan Rickman (Harry Potter), Andy Serkis (Rise of the Planet of the Apes) and Stanley Tucci (Captain America).

I personally hope that if Tom doesn’t win, he will be Andy Serkis, who did an amazing work on Rise of the Planet of the Apes.

Midnight in Paris was nominated for Best Fantasy movie, War Horse as also been nominated for Best action/adventure movie, Woddy Allen was nominated for Best Writting for Midnight in Paris, John Williams for Best Music (War Horse), Bo Welch for Best Production Design (Thor) and Alexandra Byrne for Best Costumes (Thor).

New Avengers trailer! We get a little bit of Loki toward the middle, but the entire trailer looks really good and I can’t wait to be April 25! It’s going to be awesome.

Sorry for posting this late, I was working when it was released :(

Okay guys, I’m sorry for the lack of news on The Deep Blue Sea. I honestly thought it was out everywhere but apparently not.

So here’s a trailer and some release dates :

USA : March 23, 2012 (limited)

Sweden : April 13, 2012

Australia : April 15, 2012

Netherlands : April 19, 2012

If it comes out in your country and it’s not on the list, please let me know.

Personal opinion : So I already saw the movie. I personally, didn’t enjoy it. Not because of bad acting. Rachel (who’s my favorite actress) and Tom were both impeccable in their roles and I have nothing to say against that. I just don’t enjoy that kind of movies. What bothered me the most was the directing, ‘cause I felt like the movie was very claustrophobic and the ambiance was very heavy. It didn’t help that I had absolutely no empathy for Rachel’s character. However, like I said, the acting is impeccable and the story in itself (even if it’s nothing new) is well presented.

Some people were affraid Tom wouldn’t be able to do Winter’s Tale since he was cast in both Only Loves Left Alive and Black Wings Have my Angel but apparently, he should be able to do all of them (well, we all know he can make a lot of movies the same years) if he is cast. The studio will hold a deal test next week in New York for him, Benjamin Walker and a few other male actors. Hopefully, we should know if he does the movie or not, not long after the test.

Lily Collins, Bella Hearthcote and Jessica Brown Findlay should have their deal test during the week on March 2 for the leading female role.

Now, to avoid some confusion, this is NOT Shakespeare’s play. This is an entirely different story.

A sweeping drama about reincarnation, the story is set in the early 20th century and focuses on a thief on the run who, when breaking into a wealthy man’s home, strikes up a relationship with the man’s terminally ill daughter.  A flying horse and a time-shift 100 years also figures into the equation.

The movie will also feature Russel Crowe as a mobster and a cameo of Will Smith as a judge.

looks like he’s a pretty good dancer!

I had huge fun with Chris Evans, as Captain America, because super-soldier though he may be, he’s still a man, up against a God who in his own mind is infinitely superior. Then, in the ring with The Hulk, we’ve got this silver tongued, lightening quick mind up against the embodiment of rage… Loki has this mercurial, transformative ability, not just physically but intellectually, so not all the fights are purely physical. Mind games? Maybe..

Sadly, Tom didn’t won the Rising Star award (apparently, but I didn’t see it ‘cause I thought the award was starting at 9) but we all know the competition was really had this year and they all deserved to have it.

But to be fair, everyone who look back at 2011 can honestly say Tom doesn’t need any award to be one of the most brilliant (and hard working) actor in Great Britain. I mean, he worked with some of the most famous and acclaimed directors in the space of one year when other actors would kill to work with any of them in their entire career. So don’t feel upset guys, cause we all know he’s brilliant, directors know he’s brilliant, the entire industry knows his brilliant and an Rising Star award won’t change that.
